Well positioned centre
We’re located on a quiet street close to Raumati Beach Village and other amenities such as the beach, and Raumati Gardens.
We’re close to the local Primary School (Raumati Beach School) which is an advantage when children are transitioning and for families with children of different ages; there is also another primary school in Raumati South which is approximately 3km away.
We are also in easy walking distance to Kapiti College and the Performing Arts Centre.
There is great access to public transport with a bus stop directly outside the centre – buses travel from the Paraparaumu Railway Station to Raumati Beach shops every 20 to 30 minutes in peak hours and hourly at other times.
Within the centre
We have created a learning environment that is calm, inclusive and encourages creative exploration for all our tamariki.
The building has been designed to maximise indoor outdoor flow. The building itself is powered by solar energy making the centre self-sufficient in electricity. We use double glazing, woollen insulation.
With a focus on health and safety, we have easy to clean and fire retardant surfaces, lead-free paints, mercury free fluorescent lighting and low energy usage for all our electronic equipment and appliances.
We have a sustainable approach to learning through the resources we provide and the intentional teaching moments around sustainability, gardening, recycling and the products we use.
